You are Free to Go... But...

Freedom. It can look the same for many of us, and yet not feel the same for any of us. But no matter how it looks or feels for you or me, it always come with two things...
Release and Responsibility.
During the night Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Up! Leave my people, you and the Israelites! Go, worship the Lord as you have requested. ~Exodus 12:31 New International Version
After four hundred and thirty years of oppression and crying out to God... finally... they were free. Free from bowing to the whip. Free from slave masters abusing their children and taking their wives into Egyptian beds. Free from making bricks with no straw. Free from the weight of stones and unrequited tears on their backs.
Free to be GOD n Me.
And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.” ~Exodus 3:12 NIV
The stronghold of Pharaoh was no more. The plunder of Egypt was for the taking. Their feet were on the path to the Promised Land. God set them free to live free, yes, but more importantly, to worship free.
Because to worship free is to live free.
And God spoke all these words: “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me." ~Exodus 20:1-3 NIV
Without question, God brings us out of the darkness into his marvelous light because he loves us. But let there be no doubt... it is also to remind us that we are here for his glory. He is our Freedom Fighter. There can be no other before him.
To embrace the release of Heaven (the place where worship abides) and not the responsibilities of Heaven (to be the place where worship abides) is to create our own wilderness.
Free, but walking in circles.
Free, but living in scarcity.
Free, but still bound.
You wanna be free? Create space in your life for the God Who Liberates:
“This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, allowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on ear
