The Audacity of Your Anointing

THIS MONTH'S THEME: R.E.A.L. WOMEN

Your anointing was not a democratic decision.

It is not a hypothetical situation.

It was a resolution declared by the theocratic authority of God.

Theocratic meaning "rule of God".

The Boldness of Heaven

Sistas, do not let this world tell you different. It is a rule of heaven that you be anointed for the calling on your life. It serves as your seal of approval, your protection, your assurance. It also serves as something else... your acceptance.

In a male-dominated world, God made a bold move anointing you.

Not everyone will understand it, nor or they supposed to. Your success is not dependent upon meeting their expectations. It is dependent Christ's acceptance of you and you accepting all that comes with it.

No. You are not worthy of Him, and yet you are worthy because of him.

You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. ~Acts 10:38 NIV

The Savior modeled for us how to live in the audacity of the anointing. It is to accept that you have been accepted. Sounds simple, but we are often hard-pressed to believe God at this level.

Say this without hesitation:

I. Am. Accepted.

How dare Christ love you so! How dare the Father bend his ear and count your tears!

How dare the Holy Trinity see holiness in you.

Yes, how dare they!

That is the statement the world makes when the glory over your life does not make sense.

"How dare they."

You are accepted. How dare anyone think otherwise!

Audacity means to take bold risks.

The Master of the Universe took a bold risk on you. Risky because of how the world sees you. Bold because of how He absolutely loves you.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ~John 3:16 NIV

It is a rule of God that the same Holy Spirit dwelling in you came upon his Son who died for you.

That's a bold move.

The Anointing in the Middle

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. ~Revelation 22:13, New International Version

From beginning to end, Jesus serves as our Anointed One for the length and breath of eternity. All he asks of us is to live as the anointing in the middle.

“Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. ~Revelation 22:14, New International Version

To be honest I never paid attention to this verse until recently. Anointing can only thrive in purity. When we accept what Christ has for us by how we live, how we wash our sins in the Blood of the Lamb, he accepts us into a place of divine co-existence with him.

Jesus is the beginning and the end, but you are the anointing in the middle.

This is not a complement.

You did not earn this, but you still deserve it.

He left you and I to do greater works despite us. This is why the Blood is necessary, so we might honor him with the purging of our sin and our acceptance of the weight of the call from the One who sent us.

Low self-esteem is not acceptable under the anointing.

Jesus makes all thing new.

The Blood of Jesus makes you worth the effort.

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit have given you their seal of approval.

The audacity! Now, make your move.

I hope you are enjoying this series! Next week, we close with how to love a godly woman (good stuff)! Until then, much love!
