"God, Give Me what I Need."

God knows what you need.

He knows what you need right now.

He knows the void you're trying to fill, but can't.

He knows the leap you should take but won't.

He knows your doubts, the times you've wanted to throw up your hands and thrown in the towel.

He knows you, and He knows what you need.

Not tomorrow, but right now.

Strength for today.

Faith for today.

Grace for today.

Gifts for today.

So as you go through your day, I encourage you to ask God to give you what you need and be ready to receive it when He gives it to you through people.

People. Yes, people.

God uses us to bless us.

We are many members in one body.

The BODY OF CHRIST.

As it is, there are many parts, but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, 24 while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. ~1 Corinthians 12:20-26

Someone you know has what you need, so don't dismiss their gifts.

Your blessing might come from an unexpected place.

So what do you need today?

Someone with

wisdom,

discernment,

administrative capacity,

mercy,

faith,

a pastoral spirit?

Healing,

helps,

or a mind to serve?

Do you need knowledge for the task ahead or a connection to one who has it?

A person who knows how to lead AND serve?

Someone with a ground-breaking mindset like an apostle or someone speaking new life as a prophetic word over your situation?

A giver?

An evangelistic spirit to help take you out of your comfort zone?

A miracle worker?

Is encouragement what you seek?

God, I pray that we don't let today pass without discovering what we need from you even if it comes through someone else.

Today, we look for you in unexpected places. Surprise us.

In Jesus' name. Amen.
