GOD for GROWN UPS

I know. I'm tired, too.  But do you remember what God told you? I remember what God told me.  I remember what He said to me in the early morning hours when my tears wouldn't stop flowing.  I remember what He showed me in my dreams and daydreams. How Jesus thought enough of me to suffer at Gethsemane.

... and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled. “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death,”... ~Mark 14:33

His tears turned to blood, He appealed to the Father for a way out, then accepted the challenge that would save our souls...

Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from him. “Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” ~Mark 14:35-36

"Thy will be done". But we can't tarry one hour? “Stay here and keep watch.” ~Matthew 14:34 All He asked them to do - is asking US to do - is to stay alert. Be obedient. Be on point. Do what He called us to do. Give Jesus one less thing to think about while He does the heavy lifting. Stay woke.

Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Simon,” he said to Peter, “are you asleep? Couldn’t you keep watch for one hour? Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. Once more he went away and prayed the same thing. When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. They did not know what to say to him.” Matthew 14:37-40

This is a Gethsemane moment. God wouldn't not ask you to stick with Him if He didn't think you could. No more talk and no action. Heaven is asking us to have it's back.  Watch AND pray.  He never said it would be easy. He only said it would be worth it. God not only called you, but He is calling you out. It's time to go a little farther, to be on the Lord's side. Put some sweat in the game.  You have the capacity.  Let Him be your strength. Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!” ~ Mark 14:41b-42 Jesus was tired, too, but He still fought for us and even now - RIGHT NOW - He intercedes for us.  So, let your loyalty be known.  Speak life into dead situations. Bring Living Water to a thirty world. Just because we're tired doesn't mean we're done. God is with us. Let's go to work.

~ NOVEMBER ~

Is this a casual relationship or covenant?

Let's talk about it.

Some of you may remember this month we were going to discuss the "God of Our Dreams". God saw different, so in obedience to Him we will discuss
